About the role
Members of Technical Staff at Belvedir are generalists with depth. You will own problems end to end: scoping, designing, building, shipping, and iterating with real users. Titles are flat and ownership is broad. Some weeks you will be deep in model evaluation infrastructure; other weeks you will be shipping product surfaces or hardening production systems.
What you will do
- Design, build, and ship core systems across research, infrastructure, and product.
- Run experiments, evaluate models, and turn results into decisions.
- Write code that other people enjoy working in, and review theirs thoughtfully.
- Work directly with users and founders to decide what to build next.
- Help set engineering culture at an early-stage company.
What we are looking for
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python, TypeScript, or similar.
- Experience building and operating production systems, or training and evaluating ML models, or ideally both.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward shipping.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- High standards for yourself and for the work.
Nice to have
- Experience with LLM fine-tuning, RL, evals, or inference optimization.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or as a founder.
- Open-source work or research we can read.
